HI! I’M CONNIE

I plan to write my thoughts beginning with combining all my years of study in God’s word, with the circumstances of my life that God has graciously allowed me to experience.

Hello, my name is Connie and I am beginning a new adventure in the world of blogging! I am excited to get started, I just have one question! “How do I begin a blog?” Do I begin with a picture? Do I start with a Bible verse? Do I tell you about something I learned the hard way? Do I teach something I have studied? Do I share a personal story? Do I try to come up with some witty statement? Do I quote a famous person? Do I take a poll with my friends and family to give me guidance? Do I pray, and a great idea will just jump into my head?

In regards to beginning my blog, the answer is a little “yes” and a little “no” to all of the above questions. It has taken prayer time and much thought but I have settled on my answer to the question, “How do I begin a blog?” My answer isn’t profound; you could say it is obvious. Connie, just begin writing! But, “what do I write about”? The best answer, I know, is to begin writing from the overflow of my heart. In summation, that is what I want to do. I want to write from the overflow of my heart. I plan to write my thoughts beginning with combining all my years of study in God’s word, with the circumstances of my life that God has graciously allowed me to experience. I hope to share some wisdom that I have gained along the way. Adding to my past, I will ponder current insights from God’s word with a heart’s desire to share, teach and help others.

First before I get too far ahead of myself, I ‘d like to share a little about me so that we can become more than just acquaintances. Maybe just maybe we will become friends. I am enjoying life in my fifties. My husband and I have been married for almost 38 years. We have 4 children that are now adults. Three of our children are adopted and we have 1 biological child. We have 2 grandchildren-pure joy! Currently, I enjoy volunteering at my church during the week. The weekends are full with teaching Sunday school and working the bus ministry. I have a love for studying God’s word. Teaching and ministering bring true joy to my heart. God has been pressing on my heart a strong desire to continue to run in service for Him. I am burdened for lost souls; time is short the need is overwhelming. I don’t know how else to express my thoughts; I want to do something great for the Lord! It is time! This desire is pressing on my mind—there is no escaping these thoughts. God is moving on my heart and life. I am excited! I invite you to come along with me, maybe God will begin to burden you too.

Life can be challenging for all of us, many ladies are hurting, discouraged, empty, confused, depressed, spiritually exhausted/empty and some are struggling with bondage. The truth, this list could be longer. There are so many ladies needing real encouragement. My desire is to create a blog that will encourage and instruct as we maneuver through this life. I have found that God‘s grace is sufficient for all He allows in my life. I also realize that when I claim His grace, grace can and will make up where I fall short. As pressure mounts in life and I become spent, I turn to the Lord and ask for His Grace… As ladies we need His Grace to Adorn our lives. Grace becomes our clothing/covering, grace should adorn us in all that we do and say. The name of my blog “Grace Adorn” is a reminder that nothing I do or say will be effective for Christ without His Grace. In Romans 3:24 we are reminded that Grace comes through the Son, “Being justified by his Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.“ We deserve nothing yet God gives us so much through the gift of redemption in His Son. Grace begins at the moment of accepting this gift called salvation; Grace should Adorn you and me.

In His Grace,

Connie

Memory verse:

II Corinthians 9:8, “ And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always, having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:“
